printing a page in PgS to a postscript file and converting that file to PDF using ghostscript produces an accurate reproduction of the page as displayed in KPDF. However, importing either the ps or pdf file into PgS as a graphic fails to produce a printable object. In both cases the file is imported as a full page graphic ignoring the orientation (landscape) of the ps or pdf. The graphic has no onscreen display other than the box with an X. While the onscreen display is expected it *should* print something other than a blank page, but that is not the case. When opening the PDF as a document (accurate or editable models) the grid of shaded rectangles is imported and a substitution for the fonts is requested, but there is no text. Further investigation shows that there are objects other than the shaded rectangles, but they cannot be directly selected (e.g., only by Select All). Opened as editable, and having deleted all shaded rectangles, there are 93 objects reported by the layer palette. Unfortunately they cannot be selected via the palette. Selecting the entire group and editing height or width via the edit palette produces either ridiculously large or small values ignoring the input numbers. | |
